INTA Annual Meeting 2026 in London

On May 2-6, 2026, it.com Domains joined the INTA (International Trademark Association) Annual Meeting 2026, held in London, UK. Joe Alagna, Chief Strategy Officer, Alessandro Baruffi, Director of International Partnerships, and Rolandas Japertas, Business Development Manager, represented our company at the event.
The annual conference brought together over 10,000 intellectual property professionals, business leaders, and industry representatives from over 100 countries. The event traditionally focuses on brand protection, combating infringement, and finding effective tools for managing intellectual property in the digital environment. The INTA Annual Meeting program included sessions on topics such as artificial intelligence, brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, intellectual property finance, and cross-border innovation. Particular attention was paid to practical tools for brand protection and interaction with online platforms.
The it.com Domains company has been a permanent participant of the event since 2023. This year, as always, our team actively participated in the sessions and business meetings, discussing brand protection in the domain space and strategic management of digital assets with industry colleagues. In today’s world, domain names are becoming an essential element of a brand’s digital identity. Companies need to not just protect their trademarks but also proactively develop a domain ownership strategy, including the possibility of launching their own domain extension as part of the ICANN’s (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) New gTLD (generic top-level domain) Program.
At the meetings with attendees, Joe Alagna shared his experience in launching and managing domain extensions, including in the context of the upcoming round of new gTLDs. This experience is also detailed in the book How to Get Your Own Top-Level Domain: An Insider’s Guide to ICANN’s Application Process, co-authored with Andrey Insarov, Founder and CEO of it.com Domains. The book serves as a practical guide for organizations that want not only to protect their brand but also to gain full control over their domain infrastructure.
