On September 17–20, 2024, the it.com Domains team joined the APTLD86 (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) in Da Nang, Vietnam. Munir Badr, our advisor, and Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, represented the company at the event.

APTLD is a network of over 50 national registries in the Asian region. The APTLD meetings are an opportunity for representatives of the domain industry to exchange insights on technological and operational aspects of the domain industry. They also discuss important issues such as DNS abuse and cyber threats and share their experiences in managing a domain business.

“Recognizing the importance of the Southeast Asian region and Vietnam’s key role, we attended APTLD86 to engage strategically with Vietnamese registrars. The .it.com extension is gaining traction there as it meets users’ needs. Due to the country’s great potential, establishing a strong channel in Vietnam is a top priority” stated Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services.

This year it.com Domains supported the event as a gold sponsor. Our team spent four days at the APTLD86, participating in various sessions and forging new connections.
