The Internet Commerce Association (ICA), a non-profit trade organization that represents the interests of domain investors, developers and related service providers, organizes the meeting annually. The ICA Annual Meeting gathers domain industry experts to discuss important topics, share ideas and network with professionals in this sphere.
The event agenda was full of sessions dedicated to various aspects of the domain industry. Our experts shared their experience with other participants, talked about how it.com Domains is evolving, as well as forged new mutually beneficial connections.
The ICA Annual Meeting started on Wednesday evening with a film ‘A Postcard from Earth’ by Darren Aronofsky at the fantastic new Sphere, a music and entertainment arena in Las Vegas. It featured a futuristic scenario where humankind expands into new planetary horizons. With great pleasure, it.com Domains became the title sponsor of the film screening.
Thursday was dedicated to discussions on how ICA members could expand the namespace and promote the importance and value of domain names in business, along with various networking events.
On Friday, participants gathered at the expert tables, where top domain investors shared their expertise and had the opportunity to question domain name providers such as GoDaddy, Namebright, Dynadot, SquadHelp, .art, and it.com Domains. Later on this day, Joe Alagna spoke about it.com Domains’ new registry dedicated to the global IT community. He explained that technical domains are in high demand and how .it.com domains fit the bill.
On Saturday, Tess Diaz, our Director of Channel Development, led a discussion on the history of the ICA and the domain industry.
The meeting gave us the opportunity to discuss industry-important questions and make new networks with some of the top domain name registrars in the world.
