Empowering Women Leadership: it.com Domains, Hosting Solutions and We Make Future Trade Fair Announce Partnership to Support Italian Female Entrepreneurs to Excel Globally

The it.com Domains, Hosting Solutions and WMF — We Make Future International Trade Fair announced a partnership that will provide Italian female-led startups participating in the Fair with the needed resources, including a web package, and expertise to grow locally and to successfully set up their presence on the global market. Parties signed a respective memorandum of understanding and announced the partnership during WMF — We Make Future International Trade Fair and Festival on Tech and Digital Innovation, taking place in Rimini on 15 – 17 of June 2023.
Studies indicate that women have a strong ability to develop connections, to mentor others, to care for the community and to lead by example, making them valuable members of leadership teams at every level. The partners believe that this initiative will help to close the gender gap, to support the local economy and to promote Italian innovations on the global arena. Furthermore, the partners aim to encourage the expansion of female-led startups in Italy, considering their current representation of 13,6% of the total. They hope to inspire the greater community to support and to enable the growth of statistics.
The program will include providing these companies with a web package to set up a globally operating website as well as consultancy, mentorship and organizing knowledge exchange events – to upgrade their thought leadership, business development, web strategy and marketing efforts.
The first step of the program is providing eligible startups with the web package that includes an .it.com domain (e.g. yourname.it.com), DNS, email hosting, disk space, traffic management, MySQL database management and more – everything to allow them to run startups’ site and online operations effectively, free for one year. Startups can use their .it.com domain of choice from the very start. In case they already have another domain and they want to keep using it, they can still enjoy .it.com for brand protection and as a mirror to an existing one. Global domains zones as .com are more effective in terms of global discoverability than local/regional ones. And it could also allow startups to highlight their origin on a global scale with ‘it’ representing Italy.
