it.com Domains at ICANN Contracted Parties Summit in Vietnam

On May 5-7, 2025, it.com Domains joined the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) Contracted Parties Summit in Hanoi, Vietnam. Andrey Insarov, Founder and CEO, Tess Diaz, Director of Channel Development, Joe Alagna, Chief Strategy Officer, and Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, represented the company at the event.
The ICANN Contracted Parties Summit isn’t a typical ICANN meeting, where important policy issues in the domain industry are discussed. This event is more aimed at establishing contacts and strengthening ties.
The participants discussed issues of mutual interest and importance in the domain industry over three days. On May 6 and 7, sessions were held where attendees discussed topics such as tools to combat DNS fraud, the contribution of domain industry participants to the fight against cybercrime, and collaboration between the ICANN community and Web3* domain operators.
The it.com Domains team promoted in detail our Registry Service Provider (RSP) program. It’s a system for managing domain extensions. With RSP, the domain zone administrator can easily organize the registration of domain names and effectively manage them by confirming, renewing, and canceling registrations.
The event was vibrant and well-attended, providing an excellent opportunity for us to connect with both existing and potential it.com Domains registrar partners from around the globe. Strengthening such connections helps find new solutions to important issues in the domain industry, such as combating DNS abuse. Together, the domain community becomes stronger, helping to make the online space safer,
said Sergei Gorbunov.
*Web3 is the vision of a decentralized internet that gives users more control over their data, identity, and assets. It’s built on technologies like blockchain, smart contracts, and token-based economies, and often incorporates decentralized governance models such as DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations).
