On July 23-24, 2024, it.com Domains joined the Asia Pacific Domain Name System Forum (APAC DNS Forum) in Bali, Indonesia, to discuss with regional experts the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges in the fields of the Internet and domain names.
Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, represented the company at the event, which was organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia (PANDI).
The APAC DNS Forum is a platform for networking, idea exchange, and collaboration opportunities where participants can attend either in person or online.
The theme for this year’s event was Building Bridges: Strengthening Collaboration to Shape the Internet’s Future. For two days, forum participants at numerous sessions discussed issues related to the role of DNS, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. The sessions also covered domain industry trends and business opportunities.
On the second day of the event, Sergey Gorbunov took part in the panel discussion “Domain Name Landscape – Current Developments and Business Opportunities”. He shared with those present valuable insights into the latest trends and business opportunities in the domain name industry.
The APAC DNS Forum, hosted annually with the support of ICANN, gathered key stakeholders in the domain name industry from the APAC countries. It was an honor for us to be there as a proud sponsor and, also, share our learnings and vision with the community.
We had a great opportunity to showcase .it.com domains to potential target audiences in the region, specifically, to local registrars that might be interested in joining our partner channel,
said Sergey Gorbunov.
