On March 23-26, 2026, it.com Domains joined CloudFest 2026, held at Europa Park in Rust, Germany. Joe Alagna, Chief Strategy Officer, Alessandro Baruffi, Director of International Partnerships, Tess Diaz, Director of Channel Development, and Rolandas Japertas, Business Development Manager, represented the company at the event.
CloudFest is one of the world’s leading events for the internet infrastructure and cloud computing industry, bringing together global experts, businesses, and technology leaders. The event combines networking, knowledge sharing, and industry collaboration, creating an environment where partnerships are formed and ideas take shape.
This year’s festival theme, “The Sustainability of Everything,” was explored through multiple tracks, including cybersecurity and compliance, AI-powered cloud solutions, corporate IT transformation, data sovereignty, and future-focused innovation.
Over the course of four days, the event featured speaker sessions, breakout discussions, and hands-on workshops where participants exchanged expertise, discussed current challenges, and explored the future of the domain industry and the internet as a whole.
The company it.com Domains has been participating in CloudFest since 2023. This year, we joined the event as a Gold Partner. Also we hosted a booth where attendees could meet our team. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the company’s domain portfolio as well as the Registry Service Provider (RSP) platform, designed to help organizations manage and operate their own domain extensions.
One of the highlights of the event was the breakout session led by Joe Alagna, titled ‘How to Get Your Own Top-Level Domain – The Window is Closing.’ During the session, he shared insights into the application process for obtaining a custom domain extension within ICANN’s (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) New gTLD (generic top-level domain Program, highlighting key considerations and the importance of timely preparation. His expertise in this area is also reflected in the book How to Get Your Own Top-Level Domain: An Insider’s Guide to ICANN’s Application Process, co-authored with Andrey Insarov, Founder and CEO of it.com Domains. The publication serves as a practical guide for organizations looking to apply for and successfully operate their own top-level domain.
Cloudfest offers a great opportunity to connect with our existing clients each year, and to find new ones. It’s one of the few places where the entirety of the industry comes together, from equipment and infrastructure makers, to hosts and domain providers. As an ICANN-evaluated Registry Service Provider, we can do a lot to help those who want to own their own top-level domain extension, and we met a few new prospects here this year. We are looking forward to working with anyone who wishes to up their game by controlling their own top level domain,
said Joe Alagna.
